Kimono Lifestyle Couples Portrait Session at Brand Park | Glendale, California

I’m super excited to finally share these kimono lifestyle couples portraits that were taken at Brand Park in Glendale. This was my first time photographing couples in the kimono outfit and I’m happy with how these photos turned out! Vana and Travis were complete naturals when it came to posing.

I learned so much from Sachiko-san who is the owner of Kachou Kimono. There’s so much that goes into the preparation of the kimono for clients. From the initial consultation to sizing, to the precise fitting, to choosing accessories and pieces. Sachiko-san’s attention to detail was superb. She made sure that the kimono did not have any wrinkles for certain poses and made sure the accessories were straight before I clicked the shutter button. We shot three outfits as each kimono had its own distinct personality and look. Brand Park was the perfect location for this couples session as the white walls and greenery contrasted nicely with the colors of the kimono.

先日グレンデールのブランドパークで撮影された、この着物ライフスタイルのカップルのポート レイトを、ついに共有することが出来非常に嬉しく思っています。 着物を着たカップルを撮影するのは初めてでしたが、この写真の出来上がりに満足しています。モデルのバナとトラビスは自然なポーズを取って下さりとても撮りやすかったです。

私は花鳥着物のオーナーであるさち子さんから多くのことを学びました。お客さんの着物の準 備には沢山のことがあります。最初の相談から、着物のサイズ、正確な気付け、飾りや小物の 選びなどさち子さんのこだわりには目を見張るものがありました。私がカメラのシャッターを押す前に、彼女はモデルが決められたポーズをとった時、着物にし わがないことと、飾りも真っすぐになっていることを確認しました。そしてそれぞれの着物には 独特の生地や色合いや模様があるのと、又それぞれのモデルには三着の衣装があったので 、それも撮らせていただきました。更にブランドパークにある壁の白と緑の背景が、着物の色と とても良いコントラストだったので、このカップルの撮影には最適の場所でした。
