A week prior to Alexa and Joey’s wedding, I got a text from my photographer friend Ryuji asking if I would be interested in shooting a wedding. Without any hesitation I said “Yes!” and became the second shooter for their big day. This wedding meant a lot to Ryuji because this is his first wedding as a primary shooter ever since he started entering wedding photography. This was also his last wedding shoot in the States because he left for Japan a week after this wedding.

Joey owns a DJ company called “Electric Entertainment” while Alexa is a DJ for his company. They are a DJ power couple who play at various wedding venues throughout the year. How awesome is that?!

Fun fact: Alexa and Joey met each other at a park when they were both walking their dogs. You could say that it was because of their dogs that they got married haha. This was also my first time witnessing a Shaman officiate a wedding!
