Carbon Canyon Regional Park Engagement Session | Brandon & Michelle

Earlier this year, I photographed Brandon & Michelle’s engagement session at Carbon Canyon Regional Park. They were both fine with me choosing a location so I decided on Carbon Canyon Regional Park in Brea. I’ve wanted to photograph an engagement session here for the longest time as I’ve seen many of my photographer friends shoot portraits and engagements at this location. One of the reasons why this park is so unique is because this is the only Redwood Grove in Southern California. How cool is that?!

We hiked to our first location and chatted more about their love story. Brandon & Michelle met at Vons a few years ago. Brandon was working there at the time as a cashier, and Michelle was the customer. After their first interaction, they immediately hit it off! They exchanged numbers and the rest, as they say, is history. Surprisingly, a lot of the couples that I’ve photographed met under similar circumstances where everything came naturally to them. There were no friends to introduce them to one another. They just happen to meet each other one day and fell in love.

Although they never had a professional photo session before, they absolutely slayed their Carbon Canyon Regional Park engagement session. I can tell by their sweet and goofy interaction with each other, that they are meant for each other. I’m so excited to photograph their wedding in a few weeks!
